How to Use Blutick Live
Blutick Live is an online tutoring app that enables audio/video calls, screen sharing and messaging. Use Blutick Live to run video tutorials for your students, either individually or in groups.
How do I start Blutick Live?
First, open Blutick Live from the sidebar menu, under the “Classes & Students” section.
Then click the green “Launch Blutick Live” button.
How do I start a Tutorial with a student?
Open the menu using the ⋯ icon, and click “New Tutorial”.
Audio and video automatically connect. Use the toggles to turn them on or off.
Click on the “Add Peers” icon and use the search function to find the appropriate students. Then use the “plus” symbol to invite them to the Tutorial.
Students being called will have audible and visible signals from Blutick Live, alerting them to the meeting. They can connect with audio only, or video as well.
How do I start a Tutorial with a group of students?
Firstly, create a Group on Blutick Live by clicking the plus icon, or “New Group” in the menu.
Search for and select students as appropriate using the +/- icons. Then click the “Select Users” bar, give your Group a name, and click “Create Group”.
Finally, use the camera or phone icons to start a Tutorial.
Groups you create can be found in the “Rooms” section.
How do I share my screen?
Share your screen while in a Tutorial by clicking the screen icon.
To stop sharing your screen, click “stop sharing” and then the “x” icon.
How do I send messages to my student(s)?
The left-hand sidebar allows you to start text-based conversations with students. Just click on their name to open the messaging function.
Who can my students see?
Students can only see teachers who are members of their Blutick School, and parents/tutors linked to their Blutick account. Students cannot see or message other students over Blutick Live.
