In Depth: Using Your Task Summary

Blutick uses Mark Books and Task Summaries to allow you to easily keep track of the tasks you have set and work that your students are doing.

Mark Book enables you to look at all the tasks for a particular class, and Task Summary pages provide a detailed breakdown of work for one task.

Here we’ll be looking at data using the Task Summary page. Click on the “i” symbol in the class Mark Book to go the task summary for that topic. Alternatively, go to “Your Tasks” using the sidebar and click the green “view task summary” button for the task you wish to view.

In the Task Summary you will see two columns for the Smartscore. The first of these is the student’s Smartscore for the task you are viewing. The second of these is their average Smartscore across all tasks.

Remember that the Smartscore is generated by completing quizzes, but is not affected by the Try It Yourself practice questions.

Hover your mouse pointer over the Smartscore to see the date it was achieved. Please note that the displayed Smartscore for any given topic is always the most recent one attained, not the highest-scoring.

The following columns provide more detailed information on the task. You can see the number of questions completed at each level, time spent on each aspect of the page, number of hints used, and number of errors made.

Finally, you can see the “eye” symbol. Clicking on this will allow you to view the full working of that student on that question. The full working also shows the feedback given by the AI teacher.
